Harz Minerals GmbH starts
the second phase of exploration drilling in the Harz
Mountains
The second phase of exploration
drilling in the Gosetal near Goslar is planned to start in the
middle of November 2010. The target of the drilling project is a
base metal mineralisation, assumed to lie at the same stratigraphic
level as the nearby Rammelsberg deposit: the ore-equivalent layer
(Lager Horizont). At least two holes are presently planned, which
are expected to reach as deep as 600-900 metres. Drilling will be
carried out by Suomen Malmi Oy (SMOY) of Finland, and is expected
to continue into 2011.
