Northern Highlands ApS expands licence area in Mauken
greenstone belt
Northern Highlands ApS is pleased to announce that is has
acquired additional 19 km2 (19 individual 1.0
km2 claims) in the prospective Mauken greenstone belt,
where further alteration and gold mineralisation has been
identified. The total license area is now 79.6 km2. This
is in line with the Company's strategy to expand its already
extensive land position in the Mauken greenstone belt so that it
may continue to investigate the full potential of this newly
identified large-scale gold-mineralised system.
Søren Lund Jensen, CEO, commented, "We are highly encouraged by
the further definition of extensive geochemical anomalies and
associated alteration outside of our gold mineralised Main Zone and
believe that the Mauken greenstone belt is emerging as a new gold
district in Northern Norway. In light of this we are
continuing to build upon our already substantial position by
utilising our first-mover advantage in the area".
